Mr. Bolton and Frank Thompson, Health Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. The purpose of this ordinance is to request authorization to amend a contract with Kansas City Free Health Clinic, Inc. Kansas City Free Health Clinic provides oral health services for eligible persons living with HIV/AIDS in the eleven county Kansas City Transitional Grant Area.

To accept funding in the amount of $5,000.00 to support the Aim4Peace program from the Phoenix Family Housing Corporation Grant. This grant is effective from March 01, 2011 to December 31, 2011

Creating the CID/NID Revolving Loan Fund; estimating and appropriating $80,000.00 in the CID/NID Revolving Fund for the purpose of creating a revolving loan fund to assist with the establishment of community improvement districts and neighborhood improvement districts within distressed areas of the City; stating the intent of the Council with respect to repayment of these funds; and directing the City Manager to identify the criteria for the maximum use of these funds.

It's estimating and appropriating $80,000 in the General Fund for the purpose of assisting the Northeast Chamber of Commerce with the creation of a Community Improvement District along Independence Avenue.  2. The Homeless Services Coalition of Greater Kansas City will make a presentation regarding the 2011 Point in Time Count in the Neighborhoods & Healthy Committee this week.
 
 Vickie Riddle, Homeless Services Coalition of Greater KC, gave this presentation to the committee. Hand-out on file.
 
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12; and/or (5) negotiations with employee groups, pursuant to subsection 9. The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
