|160501||Reducing the Contingent Appropriation of the General Fund by $160,417.00; appropriating that same amount to the Indigent Court Defense account of the General Fund; and authorizing the Administrator of the Municipal Court to execute a one-year $1,240,417.00 contract extension with Legal Aid of Western Missouri for the legal representation of indigent defendants in Kansas City Municipal Court.|
FINANCE AND GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE recommends "HOLD ON AGENDA (8/10/2016)"
Megan Pfannenstiel, Court Administrator provided a brief review of the negotiations she has been engaged in with Greg Lombardi, Director of Legal Aid of Western Missouri. Since Mr. Lombardi was not present to answer questions from the Committee, they voted to hold the Ordinance for 1 week so their questions could be answered before making a decision on the Ordinance.
| ||1. Staff from the City Auditor’s Office will present a Performance Audit: Contract Accessibility Could Be Improved.|
| ||Doug Jones, City Auditor introduced Jason Phillips, Audit Team member. Mr. Phillips reviewed the audit objectives, and provided some background for the audit. Mr. Phillips also discussed the audit teams findings and reviewed some of the recommendations they made.

| ||2. There may be a general discussion regarding current Finance and Governance Committee issues.|
| ||3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss:
