OPERATIONS COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE" Stan Harris, Public Works, was present to testify on behalf of this ordinance. He stated that this was for the Line Creek Watershed study from 68th to 64th Street. He said that this project was being scaled back and that the bridge would be smaller to allow for more water flow.
Councilmember Riley said that this was a long time in coming.

Councilmember Nace questioned whether or not there would be matching federal funds.
Councilmember Hermann stated that these signs would be night reflecting but not graffiti resistant.

Councilmember Nace stated that Councilmember Cooper has been working on this project for a long time and would be happy to see it come through.
Councilmember Hermann questioned the life expectancy of the improvements.

Councilmember Riley stated that he was glad to see this project proceed. He stated that his district had lots of infrastructure problems. Councilmember Nace agreed.

Mr. Worley stated that some traffic regulations were worth mentioning and that this particular set of regulations contained reductions in the speed limit in and around school zones.
