| Vacating Madison Avenue between W. 104th Street and I-435, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and directing the City Clerk to record certain documents.
PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS" Tom Coyle, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance.
This ordinance will allow use of the accrued right of way for automobile sales on an area generally located at Madison Avenue south of W 104th Street.

| Accepting the recommendations of the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City as to the Ninth Amendment to the Summit Tax Increment Financing Plan; approving the Ninth Amendment to the Summit Tax Increment Financing Plan; setting forth findings relating to the Summit Tax Increment Financing Plan; designating an amended Redevelopment Area; authorizing the Commission to issue obligations to finance Redevelopment Project Costs; and approving the pledge of all funds generated from Redevelopment Projects and deposited in the Summit account.

The Ninth Amendment proposes revising the estimated redevelopment costs for Project 25 (Sacred Heart - Guadalupe Church and related buildings). The area is generally bounded by the Kansas City Terminal Railway tracks on the north, W. 26th Street on the south, Southwest Boulevard on the west, and Summit Street on the east, as well as the Pershing Building property generally located on the southwest corner of Pershing Road and Kessler Road, all in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

Jeff Pinkerton, MARC, gave a presentation to the committee regarding Kansas City Area Workforce information. The handout is on file in the City Clerk's Office.
Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss:
(1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1;
(2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2;
(3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or
(4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
There was no Closed Session.
The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver's License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned. |
