COMMUNICATION - Notice received from the Industrial Development Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, regarding Downtown Paseo Area Project Parcel between 11th and 12th Streets, Virginia and Tracy, Kansas City, Missouri.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "RECEIVED AND FILED"
Patricia Jensen, Assistant City Attorney, explained to the committee the purpose of the communication and its intent. The communication was received and filed.

Reducing the appropriation by the sum of $150,000.00 in the Laidlaw Impact Fund Program account of the General Fund; appropriating it to various accounts within the General Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Councilman Ford stated that the ordinance was introduce as a result of communication 991138 and an agreement with Laidlaw. The ordinance will approve $150,000.00 from the Laidlaw Impact Fund account for projects to be completed for Gregory Ridge and East Meyer Community Association. Each neighborhood group will receive $75,000.00. Although representatives were present from each neighborhood group, Mr. Ford informed them that it was'nt necessary for them to speak. Committee members concurred with Mr. Ford's comments and recommended approval.

RESOLUTION - Authorizing the Director of City Development to offer for sale various properties all being in Kansas City, Missouri.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "IMMEDIATE ADOPTION AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE"
Edgar Jordan, City Development, testified on behalf of the resolution. He stated that most of these properties are vacant lots and the city needs to sell them to alleviate the maintenance of these properties. A committee substitute was submitted on the ordinance. Committee recommended approval of the resolution.

RESOLUTION - Approving the Troostwood Neighborhood Plan as a guide for the future development and redevelopment of the area bounded by Volker Boulevard on the north, Paseo Boulevard on the east, Rockhurst Road on the south and Troost Avenue on the west.

It was the consensus of the committee to refer ordinance 991199 to City Plan Commission.

RESOLUTION - Approving an amendment to the Plaza Urban Design and Development Plan for the future development and redevelopment of the areas generally bounded by 43rd Street on the north, Paseo Boulevard on the east, 55th Street on the south and State Line Road on the west by changing the land use recommendations for Planning Area C which is bounded by 48th Street on the north, Roanoke Parkway on the east, Ward Parkway on the south and Belleview Avenue on the west and for Planning Area L which is bounded by 49th Street on the north, 51st Street on the south, Forest Avenue on the east and Troost Avenue on the west.

Mace Road between N.W. 76th Terrace (extended) and N.W. Belvidere Parkway (extended), in Platte County, Missouri; and directing the City Clerk to cause three certified copies of this ordinance to be filed with the Clerk of Platte County, and one certified copy of this ordinance to be filed with the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners, upon the effective date of this ordinance.
