The Fourteenth Amendment proposes specifically defining and revising the estimated redevelopment costs for District-Wide Expenses of the 22nd & Main TIF Plan. The Redevelopment Area is generally bound by Southwest Boulevard and 19th Street on the north, Walnut Street on the east, the Kansas City Terminal Railway tracks on the south, and W. Pennway/Broadway on the west, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

Approving an Industrial Development Plan for VA West Properties, LLC for the purpose of constructing, equipping, and furnishing an office building, hotel, and garage located at 4840 Roanoke Parkway; authorizing and approving a Development Agreement for the purpose of setting forth covenants, agreements and obligations of the City and VA West Properties, LLC; authorizing the issuance of taxable industrial revenue bonds in a maximum aggregate principal amount not to exceed $200,000,000.00; authorizing and approving certain other documents; authorizing certain other actions in connection with the issuance of said bonds; approving the redirection of certain taxes; and directing the City Manager to replace one-half of the capital improvements redirected taxes.

This ordinance will approve a Plan for Industrial Development under Chapter 100; authorize the issuance of taxable industrial revenue bonds not to exceed $200,000,000; and authorize certain other documents and actions in connection with the issuance of said bonds for VA West Properties, LLC.

 1. There will be discussion of Economic Development Priorities. There was no Economic Development Priorities discussion. 2. Frank Lenk, MARC, will make a presentation on the Chamber’s 2012 Economic Forecast. This presentation was not given at this meeting. 3. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. There was no general discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. There was no Closed Session. The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver's License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
