Authorizing a water purchase agreement between Harrisonville, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri for a period of thirty (30) years.

Frank Pogge, Water Services, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would allow the City of Kansas City, Missouri to enter into a contract with Harrisonville, Missouri for water purchase for the next thirty years. Harrisonville will purchase water from the city to stop their service in the city due to bad water. Harrisonville will own the water line.

Establishing the 2007 Stormwater Grant Fund; estimating and appropriating loan and grant proceeds in the amount of $890,910.00; authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into grant and loan agreements; designating requisitioning authority; authorizing the Director of Finance to close project accounts upon completion; and recognizing an emergency.

RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to develop a program for the training of minority and women construction workers whose skills can allow them to be a part of the workforce needed for the construction of water and sewer projects to be funded by the $250 million in water revenue bonds and $250 million in sewer revenue bonds approved by the voters on August 2, 2005.
