Accepting and approving two one-year contract amendments in the amounts of $56,000.00 and $113,000.00 with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide funding for children with special health care needs.

Dr. Rex Archer, Director of Health introduced Denise Schnell, Public Health Specialist, who requested acceptance and approvoval of two contract amendments with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide Service Coordination for Children With Special Health Care Needs for the period of July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015.

Authorizing the acceptance and approval of a one-year $300,000.00 grant award agreement with the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City for the Aim4Peace program.

Tracie McClendon-Cole, Aim4Peace Director led a presentation which introduced multiple partners and requested they accept funding in the amount of $300,000.00, for the Aim 4Peace program from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City. This grant is effective from April 1, 2014 through April 1, 2015.

 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
