Requiring that projects which are primarily residential in nature and are seeking economic incentives in the nature of the capture and redirection, or abatement or exemption of taxes to contain a minimum of fifteen (15) percent of the projects’ total number of units being deemed affordable for households having incomes equal to or below seventy percent (70%) of the median income for all households within Kansas City, Missouri.


HOUSING COMMITTEE recommends "BE ADOPTED AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE"
Jeffrey Williams, City Planning, gave a brief overview that passing of this ordinance are for projects which are primarily residential in nature. This ordinance is seeking economic incentives in the nature of the capture and redirection, or abatement or exemption of taxes to contain a minimum of fifteen (15) percent of the project's total number of units being deemed affordable for households having incomes equal to or below eighty percent (80%) of the median income for all households within Kansas City, Missouri.

RESOLUTION - Adopting the Five Year Housing Policy for the City of Kansas City, Missouri.


HOUSING COMMITTEE recommends "HOLD ON AGENDA (2/13/2019)"
Edwin Lowndes, Kansas City Housing Authority gave a brief outline and overview of the Housing Authority's Voucher Program, Housing Policy issues, Landlord payment process and HUD funding.
 
 1. There may be a discussion regarding the Kansas City Housing Policy Report.
 
 2. There may be a general discussion regarding current Housing issues.
 
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
