Accepting and approving a one-year $31,454.00 contract amendment with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to promote heart disease and stroke prevention through implementation and evaluation of community interventions; and increasing appropriations in the amount of $1,378.00 in the Governmental Grants Fund.

This ordinance will accept a contract amendment from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services for cardiovascular health activities.

Repealing Section 50-162, Code of Ordinances, entitled Funeral picketing, and directing the City Attorney to monitor litigation for the possibility of enacting new funeral picketing regulations.

 Rose Brooks Center and KCPD will present the newly implemented Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) for First Responders. Susan Miller and Lisa Fleming, Rose Brooks Center, presented a video on the center's services and spoke about the center's partnership with the Police Department. Captain Mark Folsom, Kansas City Police Department, explained the department's role in the program. There may be general discussion(s) on current Public Safety and Neighborhoods Committee issues. None Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
