PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Tim Parks, City Development Department testified on the ordinance. He stated that the ordinance will approve a preliminary plan to allow construction of a retail store (Family Dollar). The property is located on Troost Avenue and Meyer Blvd. The applicant spoke in support of the project.

Tim Parks, City Planning & Development Department stated that the reason for the project is to consider approval of a preliminary plat in District R-4 and R-5 creating two single family lots. The project is located at the southeast corner of 35th & The Paseo. Staff and City Plan Commission recommends approval. Linda Warning, applicant concurred with staff's recommendation.

Accepting the recommendations of the Tax Increment Financing Commission as to the Judicial Square Tax Increment Financing Plan; approving the Judicial Square Tax Increment Financing Plan; and designating a Redevelopment Area.

Changing the name of N.E. 95th Court to N. Ditzler Avenue, within Villas of Montclair, a subdivision in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri.

Larry Stice, City Development Department stated that approval of the ordinance will change the name of NE 95th Court to N. Ditzler Avenue. The streets are located within the subdivision of "Villas of Montclair". When Villas of Montclair became a separate project a revised street name plan was submitted showing a cul-de-sac. The temporary lots on the cul-d-sac were assigned addresses off N. Ditzler Avenue. However, the plat of Villas of Montclair was recorded with the official street name of NE 95th Court for the cul-de-sac. The temporary addresses used for building permits did not match the official street name. Staff recommends that the name be changed to N. Ditzler Avenue. This will also simplify emergency service response in the area. Chuck Weber, Weber & Associates concurs with staff's recommendation.

Approving the plat of Platte Woods Center, an addition in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri; and accepting various easements.

Dion Waldon, Public Works Department gave an overview of the ordinance. The plat will create two commercial lots on seven acres. All of the grades and closures have been checked. Public Works Department recommends approval.
