The business recently transferred from Dean Machinery to Foley Industries. Much of Phase 1 is devoted to inventory parking, as well as customer/employee parking. A small area on the west side off the phase is open dirt, used for demonstrations and testing of equipment.

RESOLUTION - Amending the 2012 One Year Action Plan and authorizing submission of a Substantial Amendment to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for its consideration in order to program recaptured funding under the Troost Avenue Reconstruction project.

The public improvements--street reconstruction, curbs, sidewalks, storm sewers, lighting, landscaping, utilities--will occur along Troost Avenue from 23rd to 30th Streets and around The Colonnades at 27th Street multifamily housing . These public improvements are an eligible CDBG activity and meet a HUD national objective. They trigger all federal funding requirements including Davis-Bacon wage rates and Section 3 hiring requirements. The use of these previously approved PIAC funds will eliminate a pending $1.8 million impact on the General Fund for non-compliant CDBG funded activities in the Beacon Hill Redevelopment Project.
