Authorizing a contract for approximately $784,000.00 with Colette Holt & Associates for the purpose of conducting the City of Kansas City Missouri Third Generation Disparity Study.

Phillip Yelder, Director, Human Relations testified that a third generation disparity study is needed to determine if the City’s current procurement policies and practices prohibit minorities and women from equal access to contracting opportunities. This study will also help determine if the city’s current MWDBE program should continue in its current format or be modified. Hold Committee Substiture for Ordinance 141062 until 01/08/2015.

 1. Update on Kansas City's Valve Asset Management Program.
 
 Terry Leeds, Director, Water Services , Charles Stevens, Water Utility Officer, Water Services and Andy Shively, Engineering Officer, Water Services provided an update on managing Kansas City's water valve assets.
 
 2. There may be general discussion(s) on current Transportation and Infrastructure Committee issues.
 
 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
