RESOLUTION - Expressing support for the Homelessness Task Force of Greater Kansas City’s vision to address, reduce and end homelessness in the Kansas City region by building a more unified system.


NEIGHBORHOODS, HOUSING & HEALTHY COMMUNITIES recommends "IMMEDIATE ADOPTION AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE"
Jason N. Bohn, Program Manager, Homelessness Task Force, requested an expression of support for the Homelessness Task Force of Greater Kansas City’s vision to address, reduce and end homelessness in the Kansas City region by building a more unified system.

Estimating revenue and appropriating $400,000.00 in the HOME Investment Fund; authorizing a contract with Westside Housing Organization, Inc. to acquire, rehabilitate and sell houses in the Manheim Park Target Area through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program; and designating requisitioning authority.

Authorizing the Director of Neighborhoods and Housing Services to execute a $500,000.00 contract, financing agreement and loan documents with Faxon School Apartments, LLC to provide partial funding in support of the conversion of the former Faxon School located at 3710 Paseo Boulevard into 46 units of affordable senior housing; and designating requisitioning authority.


NEIGHBORHOODS, HOUSING & HEALTHY COMMUNITIES recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS AS SECOND COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE, DEBATE"
Stuart Bullington, Deputy Director, Neighborhood and Housing Services, accompanied by Edwina Jones, Section 2, Human Relations Department and Jason Swords, Sunflower Development requested authorization for the Director of Neighborhoods and Housing Services to execute a $500,000.00 contract, financing agreement and loan documents with Faxon School Apartments, LLC to provide partial funding in support of the conversion of the former Faxon School located at 3710 Paseo Boulevard into 46 units of affordable senior housing. Mr. Bullington recommended a change to the committee substitue which was a name change from Pioneer Sunflower Development Co., LLC to Faxon School Apartments. The recommended change was confirmed by Mr. Swords and the second committee substitute was approved by the committee.

Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
