Authorizing the condemnation and taking of private property for public use for a pump station facility and for a temporary construction easement for Project No. 81000724 Gooseneck Creek Arch Sewer Gate and Pump Station, in the vicinity of Winner Road and Ewing Avenue in the “Boulevard Place” and “Sheffield” subdivisions, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; providing for the payment of just compensation therefore; authorizing continued negotiations and purchase by the City Manager; authorizing the filing of the petition for condemnation by the City Attorney on behalf of the City; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri.

RESOLUTION - Designating the City’s share of Platte County’s special road and bridge tax receipts for calendar years 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 to be allocated to North Green Hills Road between N.W. 78th Street and N.W. Barry Road per RSMo 137.556; and directing the City Manager to transmit this resolution to Platte County.

 1. Doug Jones from the City Auditor’s Office and Jeff Martin From Public Works Department will present an ARTS ( Audit Report Tracking System) report for the Street-Related Permit Fees Need Review and Adjustment audit.
 
  Doug Jones, City Auditor’s Office, along with Jeff Martin, Public Works provided the staff report for this ordinance. The Auditor’s Office made 8 recommendations, 7 have been implemented and 1 is in progress. Jeff Martin advised that the end of the year all recommendations should be implemented. Jones suggested that ARTS (Audit Repot Tracking System) report remain open and be reviewed in 6 months or earlier if final recommendation is implemented. A digital copy of the presentation is on file in the City Clerk’s Office.

 2. Staff from the City Auditor’s Office and City Manager’s Office will present an ARTS report for the Bike KC Inadequate to Achieve City Goals audit.
 
 Doug Jones, City Auditor’s Office, along with Wes Minder City Manager’s Office presented ARTS (Audit Repot Tracking System) report on the Bike KC Inadequate to Achieve City Goals audit. The Auditor recommended implementation of on street bike infrastructure. Joe Blankenship from City Planning stated they have received 1500 responses by survey and held 4 public meetings. There will be 3 phases and the expected completion is in 2020 the goal is make KC a platinum level Bike friendly community. A digital copy of the presentation is on file in the City Clerk’s Office.
 
 3. There may be a general discussion regarding current Transportation and Infrastructure Committee issues.
 
 4. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
