PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS, DEBATE"
Virginia Walsh, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Jim Kratz, Lutjen Inc., and Patricia Jensen, White Goss, were present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance will allow for approximately 499,000 square feet of commercial, office, institutional and residential uses about 38.5 acres generally located on both sides of N Congress Avenue between Missouri Highway 152 and a point about 1,200 feet north of NW Barry Road.

Condemning and taking temporary easements on private properties for the construction and maintenance of street improvements along 60th Street Terrace, east of Jackson Avenue, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; providing for the payment of just compensation therefore; authorizing continued negotiations by the Capital Improvement Management Office; consenting to the filing of the petition for condemnation by the City Attorney, on behalf of the City; and authorizing the City Clerk to file this ordinance with the Recorder of Deeds in Jackson County, Missouri.

This ordinance will authorize the condemning and taking of temporary construction easements on private properties for the construction and maintenance of street, drives, sidewalks and other appurtenances to serve in the improvement of 60th Street Ter., east of Jackson Avenue, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri

 There will be a discussion on "22nd & Main Street TIF - Project Area 18". Bob Long, TIF Commission, Tom Levitt, Levitt Enterprises, and Jerry Riffle, Lathrop and Gage, gave a presentation regarding the 22nd & Main Street TIF- Project Area 18. Handouts are on file in the City Clerk's Office. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning and Zoning issues. There was no General discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. There was no Closed Session.
