This ordinance will allow for approximately 32,315 sq. ft. of retail and medical uses, a gas/convenience store and a drive thru bank on about 4.2 acres on the east side of N Brighton Avenue from Missouri Highway 152 to NE Barry Road. Accepting supplemental funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the American Recovery and Revitalization Act (ARRA) to increase capitalization of the Kansas City Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund; estimating revenue and appropriating it in the amount of $2,086,267.00 in the Brownfield Revolving Loan Fund; reducing revenue in the General Fund in the amount of $926,267.00; reducing appropriations in the General Fund in the amount of $926,267.00; and authorizing the Director of City Development to enter into an amended cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Amending Chapter 88, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new subsection to Section 88-445-14, Outdoor advertising signs, which allows the relocation of outdoor advertising signs that are being relocated by the State of Missouri due to a state highway improvement project, and making inapplicable certain of the City’s outdoor advertising regulations to the relocated signs.

Waukomis Drive on east, Platte Brooke Drive on the north, NW 72nd Terrace on the south, and the City of Lake Waukomis on the west, and regarding the dedication of street right of way and easements necessary for the re-construction of Waukomis Drive and Green Hills Road; and detaching that area upon the annexation of said property by the City of Lake Waukomis.
