RESOLUTION - Reaffirming the City’s commitment to energy conservation and directing the City Manager to explore the continued use of energy conservation performance contracts for reduced energy costs at City-owned facilities which meet the criteria established by Missouri State statute for energy performance contracts.

Terry Riley, Committee Chair, testified on behalf of this resolution. Council authorized the Director of Public Works to enter into energy conservation performance contracts at various city-owned facilities of the Convention and Entertainment Centers Complex. Through these contracts, the city has implemented millions of dollars in facility improvements which are self-funding, and have substantially reduced energy usage to improve the working environment for city employees.
