Approving an amendment to a previously approved preliminary plan in District R-2b on approximately 23.2 acres generally located on the west side of Pryor Road about a quarter-mile north of Bannister Road (9619-CUP-7)

PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS, DEBATE"
Larry Stice,City Planning explained that the purpose of the ordinance was to amend a community unit plan. The property in question is located near Bannister Road and Pryor Road. It would consist of 192 residential units. The amendment would address the need of the developer and the concern of staff that the developer and the community would be better served if the project would be completed in (2) phases instead of the original plan that only had one phase. It was the consensus that by allowing (2) phases it would be more cost effective for the developer and would create a safer and more efficient process for all parties.
