Green Hills Road and N.W. 90th Street creating two lots and two tracts for the purpose of constructing a QuikTrip fuel station; authorizing the Director of City Planning and Development to execute and/or accept certain agreements; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance and attached documents. Amending Chapter 48, Code of Ordinances, entitled “Nuisances”, by repealing several sections in both Articles and enacting new sections of like number and subject matter that revise and add definitions, update and correct code and department references, and specify the applicability of the chapter to business entities.

Deletta Dean and Dalena Taylor, Neighborhood Services and Marty Means, Law Department, provided the presentation for this ordinance. This ordinance amends Chapter 48, Code of Ordinances, entitled “Nuisances”, by repealing several sections in both Articles and enacting new sections of like number and subject matter that revise and add definitions, updates and correct code and department references, and specify the applicability of the chapter to business entities. There was public testimony in opposition of this ordinance. A digital copy of the full presentation is on file in the City Clerk’s Office.

Justin Peterson, City Planning Department, provided the presentation for this ordinance. This ordinance approves a preliminary plat of Mark II Transfer Station on a 7.793 acre tract of land generally located west of Manchester Trafficway between East U.S. 40 Highway to the north and Interstate 70 to the south. The property is currently undeveloped with an existing gravel drive extending North and South along the western border of the railroad to the unimproved roadway of Westport, Independence Rd.

Amending Chapter 88, the Zoning & Development Code, by repealing Section 88-610-03., Nonconforming Lots, and enacting a new section of like number and title in lieu thereof; deleting Section 88-820-01-B., Exceptions; and enacting Section 88-110-06-D., Exceptions, to permit construction of a single family-dwelling on an area of land legally created. Patty Noll, City Planning Department, provided the presentation for this ordinance. This amends Chapter 88, the Zoning & Development Code, by repealing Section 88-610-03., Nonconforming Lots, and enacting a new section of like number and title in lieu thereof; deleting Section 88-820-01-B., Exceptions; and enacting Section 88-110-06-D., Exceptions, to permit construction of a single family-dwelling on an area of land legally created. This ordinance clarifies that a single-family dwelling may be erected on any area of land in separate ownership, subject to certain provisions. There was public testimony in favor and in opposition of this ordinance. Digital copies of the speaker cards are on file in the City Clerk’s Office.
