Patricia Jensen, Assistant City Attorney, stated the communication is a notice from the City Clerk. She stated a Neighborhood Improvement District (NID) hearing will be held on 5/21/98 in Business Session. The committee received & filed the communications. Councilmember Bacchus asked what would it take to assign the requirements to a committee.

Authorizing execution of a First Amended Cooperative Agreement with the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, regarding the attraction and relocation of Gateway and directing the City Clerk to record certain documents with the appropriate offices.

Bob Langenkamp, City Development Department stated the ordinance will authorize execution of a first amended cooperative agreement between the city and Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (LCRA). The agreement will allow city to reimburse Gateway's reimbursable project costs incurred in relocating to the Town Pavilion. The city has agreement to reimburse Gateway in the amount of $1,500,000.00 over a five year period. Donna Wilson, Polsinelli & White, supports the ordinance. A representative from Gateway 2000 also supports the ordinance.
