Rezoning an area of about 3.649 acres generally located at the southeast corner of Holmes Road and E. 92nd Street without plan from District R-7.5 to District R-80 to allow for a daycare center. (CD-CPC-2020-00050)


NEIGHBORHOOD PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS"
Xue Woods, City Planning, provided a presentation to this ordinance. This will allow rezoning without a plan. Historically, this site has been used as a daycare with previous approval of a conditional use permit, limited to 1 year, in 2008. This same permit was renewed in 2009 to allow for a children’s day care center for up to 35 children. Currently this property is vacant and the proposed rezoning allows the use of a daycare center for more than 20 students. A digital copy of this presentation can be found in the Office of City Clerk.

Xue Woods, City Planning, provided a presentation to this ordinance. This will allow for short term housing for families of patients being treated at the VA Medical Center. This medical center is located directly south of the undeveloped area, which is located within Linwood Green Park. There will be no utility easements needed.  The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
