This ordinance will amend the Kansas City International Airport Area Plan by changing the recommended land use on about 80 acres, on 43 acres from Residential - Medium Density to Commercial, and on 36 acres from Residential - Medium Density to Residential – Medium/ High Density in an area generally located at the southeast corner of N. This ordinance will amend the use tables and add Section 88-322 of the Zoning and Development code to address the proposed bicycle sharing facilities within Kansas City.

Authorizing the Director of Neighborhood and Housing Services to accept and enter into grant agreements with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”) for the 2011 Supportive Housing Program and to enter into contracts with various nonprofit subrecipients for delivery of services to homeless families and individuals in the Kansas City, Missouri area; and estimating additional revenues and appropriations in the amount of $5,411.00 in the General Fund.

Greg Franzen, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. There were some revisions suggested and accepted since this ordinance was originally introduced. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. There was no general discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
