Amending Ordinance No. 070884, which rezoned an area of approximately 5.3 acres generally located north of 3rd Street between Broadway Boulevard and Delaware Street from District M-2a to District URD, by repealing Section B of that ordinance and enacting a new Section B, which approves an amended development plan that eliminates the requirement that the developer construct an approximately 50-foot section of 2nd Street to the easterly property line, but still provides for the dedication of the 2nd Street extension to the easterly property line and requires construction of 2nd Street to the eastern entrance of the property; terminating a related deferral agreement; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance and the termination agreement.

Tom Coyle, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Chris Berg, 4115 N. Mulberry KCMO, was present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance will consider an amendment to an existing development plan in District URD (Urban redevelopment district) to eliminate the requirement to construct a portion of 2nd Street at the easterly property line of the development.

Bob Long, Land Clearance for Redevelopment, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Charles Renner, Husch, Blackwell, Sanders Law Firm, was present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance will approve the first amendment to the Grand McGee Urban Renewal Plan.

Councilman Sharp explained why he requested that this be re-referred back to committee. Travis Kiefer, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. The committee requested further information regarding this project before moving forward.
 
 Consideration of Semi-Annual Docket items. The following items were released from the Semi-Annual Docket: 061146, 070060, 080292, 080328 There may be general discussion regarding current Planning and Zoning issues. There was no general discussion. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
