Amending Ordinance No. 041255 passed November 9, 2004, which authorized assessments on Sewer District No. 22067, by repealing and reenacting Section 7 thereof and changing the assessment amount.

Jim Melllem, Water Services Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would Amend Ordinance 041255 and authorize a new section 7 which requires the special assessment for 50% of the total construction cost of the sewer improvement plus 13% of the total cost of sewer improvements for engineering and administration to be levied upon the property within District No. 22067.

Authorizing reconstruction of sidewalks, curbs, driveway entrances, and appurtenances in various locations in Council District 1 & 3; appropriating $221,366.00 from the Revolving Public Improvement Fund; authorizing the Director of Public Works to expend $221,366.00 for the various projects; authorizing assessment of the costs against the properties benefited; and recognizing an emergency.

Greg Rokos, Public Works Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would authorize the Public Works Department to set up special assessment accounts in the public improvement revolving fund for the purpose of collecting the cost for various sidewalk projects.

Authorizing a $200,000.00 contract contingency increase with KC Heritage Construction Company for additional design work in connection with the 93rd and Hillcrest Roundabout portion of the Fire Station 41 project; and authorizing the City Manager to expend up to $200,000.00 from funds previously appropriated for the project.

Eric Bosch, CIMO, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance would authorize the approval of some and the release of others of these traffic regulations. The regulations have been in place for a period of ninety days and are no longer necessary.

Releasing various permanent easements in Kansas City, Platte County, Missouri, and directing the City Clerk to record the release.

Jim Mellem, Water Services Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance authorizes the release of various permanent easements. The easements are being replaced with a new easement running east to west at the southern property line within the 4th plat.

Approving a Municipal Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for signal and lighting adjustments and upgrades; authorizing the City Manager to expend $175,000.00 from previously appropriated funds; and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

Stan Harris, Public Works Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. This ordinance authorizes proceedings with construction of replacing the Oak and Locust Street bridges, traffic signals and street lighting and for the Director of Public Works to pay for aesthetic enhancements to the signal poles and street light poles.
