John Eckardt, City Planning, testified on behalf of this ordinance. David Long, Aviation, was present to answer questions from the committee. This ordinance will bring newly acquired KCI property into the airport zoning designation on about 0.56 acres on the east side of NW Hampton Road approximately 6,000 feet north of MO-152.

This ordinance will allow the Director of City Development to issue a Certificate of Completion to the Redevelopment Corporation for the "353" project property located at 922 and 921 E. 5th Street.

Terminating the Jazz District Tax Increment Financing Plan.

Bob Long, EDC, testified on behalf of this ordinance. Bob Langenkamp, City Manager's Office, was present to answer questions from the committee. The TIF Commission has certified and reimbursed all eligible reimbursable costs and recommends termination of the Jazz District TIF Plan.

 1. The Committee will discuss City Council’s Economic Development Priorities. Councilman Ford reviewed the Economic Development Notes Summary handout with the committee. This committee agreed they will focus on the top four priorities: invest in urban core, streamline business practices at City Hall, align economic development with major investments and revitalize shopping areas. 2. There may be general discussion regarding current Planning, Zoning and Economic Development issues. There was no general discussion. 3. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss: (1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to subsection 1; (2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2; (3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or (4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12. There was no Closed Session. The City Clerk's Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver's License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
