Approving the preliminary plat of Cameron´s Place on approximately a 2.29 acre tract of land generally located between Washington Street and Broadway Boulevard, south of 17th Terrace. (SD 0887)


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Don Gustafson, City Development Department, stated the purpose of the ordinance is to approve a four commercial lot on 2.3 acres located between Washington and Broadway south of 17th Terrace. The owner wishes to plat the existing four building on separate lots for financial reasons. Staff and City Plan Commission recommended approval with certain conditions. Committee recommended approval of the ordinance.

Approving the plat of Steak `N Shake - Gladstone, an addition in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri; accepting various easements; establishing grades on public ways.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Lee Dixson, Public Works Department, stated the plat is for a two lot development located on the east side of Old Pike Road north of NE Vivion Road. All of the grades and closures have been checked and he recommended approval. Councilwoman Cooper, expressed concerns in reference to part of the development would be in Gladstone, Missouri. Lee Dixson, stated that the city of Gladstone concurs with the project.

Accepting the recommendations of the Tax Increment Financing Commission as to the New England National Bank Building Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment Plan approving the New England National Bank Building Tax Increment Financing Redevelopment Plan; designating a Redevelopment Area; and making certain findings in connection with the Plan.

Kelli Cochran, Economic Development Corporation, stated the New England National Bank Building Tax Increment Financing Plan (TIF) is for rehabilitation/renovation of an eighteen story building located at 21 W. 10th Street. The total cost of the redevelopment is estimated to be $4,296,136, $3,122,700 will qualify as reimbursable cost. The project is expected to be completed in 15 months. Committee recommended approval of the ordinance.

A committee substitute was submitted on the ordinance. Lee Dixson, Public Works Department, stated this plat is for lots located at 87th & Hillcrest for an outdoor advertising sign. All of the grades and closures have been checked and he recommended approval.
