Accepting a Quit Claim Deed from the State of Missouri, acting by and through the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, for a portion of relocated Missouri State Route 150 and directing the City Clerk to record a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Jackson County, Missouri Department of Records.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Stan Harris, Public Works Department, stated that this Deed is part of the access right-of-way which is part of the proposed construction of Missouri State Route 150. The City entered into a Cooperative Agreement for Public Improvement and relocation of Missouri State Route 150 in November of 1992. The City agreed to be responsible for the acquisition of the land needed for the project. The State acquired this parcel, and by the terms of the agreement must deed it to the City.

RESOLUTION - Consenting and granting permission to the implementation by Jackson County, Missouri of the Solar Woods/Solar Stone Redevelopment Plan located partially within the corporate boundaries of the City of Kansas City, Missouri.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "BE ADOPTED"
Kevin Bird with Armstrong, Teasdale representing Dean Realty Company, stated that this resolution would give consent and grant permission for the implementation by Jackson County of the Solar Woods/Solar Stone Redevelopment plan located partially within the corporate boundaries of Kansas City, Missouri. The Tax Increment Financing Commission will hold a public hearing on adoption of a tax increment financing plan for Solar Woods/Solar Stone Redevelopment Area.

Approving the sale of the vacant lot located south of 2715 Denver; authorizing the Director of Finance to execute a deed therefore; and directing the City Clerk to file same.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "ADVANCE AND DO PASS"
Edgar Jordan, City Planning and Development Department, stated that this ordinance would approve the sale of the vacant lot located south of 2715 Denver. The lot was acquired by the City and now has been declared surplus. All departments were polled and no interest in retaining the lot was indicated.

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by amending Appendix A, Section 2.7, GP-7, Agricultural and low-density residential uses to include asphalt plants and concrete mixing plants as accessory uses to quarries.

Approving the plat of Heartland Nursery, an addition in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri; accepting various easements; establishing grades on public ways; authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute certain agreements; and authorizing the City Clerk to file this ordinance and attached agreement.


PLANNING, ZONING & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE recommends "DO PASS AS A COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE"
A committee substitute was submitted. Lee Dixon, Public Works Department, testified on behalf of this ordinance. A power point presentation was given. The purpose of this ordinance was to approve the plat of Heartland Nursery located on the Southwest corner of I-470 and View High Drive.
