130398 Authorizing acceptance of an $84,140.25 FEMA award through a Missouri State Emergency Management Agency Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant to provide funding to design a Tornado Safe Room/Gym Addition for Garrison Community Center located at 1124 E. 5th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106 (Total project cost $112,187.00 including a 25% required local match of cash in the amount of $28,046.75); estimating revenue in the amount of $84,140.25 in the Capital Improvements Fund; increasing appropriations in the amount of $84,140.25 in the Capital Improvements Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

130414 RESOLUTION - Consenting to the transfer of commercial real property located at 10315 East Independence Avenue, Independence, Missouri, 64053 by Land Trust of Jackson County, Missouri [Jackson County Tax Parcel No. 27-120-07-04-00-0-00-000], being portions of Lot 439 and Lot 440, Fairmount, a subdivision in the City of Independence, Jackson County, Missouri (“Land Trust Property”) to Truman Medical Center, Inc. (“TMC”), for demolition and redevelopment by TMC in accordance with that certain Development Plan for the Truman Medical Clinic Project (the “Project”).

1. There may be general discussion(s) on current Neighborhood and Healthy Communities Committee issues.
 2. Pursuant to the following subsections of Section 610.021 of the Revised Statutes
of Missouri, there may be a closed session to discuss:

(1) legal matters, litigation, or privileged communications with attorneys, pursuant to
subsection 1;
(2) real estate, pursuant to subsection 2;
(3) personnel, pursuant to subsection 3 and 13; and/or
(4) sealed bids or proposals, pursuant to subsection 12.
 The City Clerk`s Office now has equipment for the hearing impaired for use with every meeting. To check out the equipment please see the secretary for each committee. Be prepared to leave your Driver`s License or State issued Identification Card with the secretary and she will give you the equipment. Upon returning the equipment your license will be returned.
