200913 Approving and authorizing settlement of a claim for a workers' compensation benefit filed by Shonda Y. Marshall for injuries resulting from an accident on January 2, 2018, while employed by the City.
200914 Repealing Ordinance No. 200399 and enacting in lieu thereof the following Ordinance that directs the City Manager to implement certain cost containment measures to include a hiring freeze and suspension of other discretionary expenditures including travel; directs the City Manager to refrain from executing or extending any limited term contracts, professional services contracts, non-municipal contracts, and sole source contract waivers, except as authorized by Council, in separate ordinances or contracts that are related to public health and public safety expenditures that are necessitated by the City’s response to the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) exclusive to expenses reimbursable under the CARES Act; authorizes non-municipal contracts funded with Federal dollars; authorizes limited term contracts for the Offices of the Mayor and Council; and establishing an expiration date of April 30, 2021, for the directives.
200904 Amending Chapter 2, Code of Ordinances, Classification and Compensation Plan, by amending Sections 2-1075, 2-1076, 2-1077, 2-1078, 2-1079 and 2-1080 to increase the starting minimum pay by $1.25 per hour from $12.50 to $13.75 per hour in accordance with Resolution No. 170628, by adjusting the starting pay for twenty-eight entry level job classifications to be no less that the new starting minimum pay, and establishing an effective date.
200915 RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to conduct audits of the Central City Economic Development (“CCED”) Sales Tax and related projects.
200907 (Sub.)Amending Chapter 2, Article VI of the Code of Ordinances, entitled “Boards, Commissions and Committees,” by enacting a new Division 22 consisting of Sections 2-970.60 through 2-970.64 entitled “Kansas City Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer Commission ” to formally establish such Commission.
200908 RESOLUTION - Appointing Justice T. Horn as a governance advisor to the Mayor and City Council for the newly established Kansas City Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer Commission to assist them in appointing board members to the Commission who are broadly reflective of and sensitive to the needs of the LGBTQ community’s diverse population.

200838 RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to recommend policies and procedures for the removal or revocation of street names, and to report back to the City Council within 60 days.
200807 RESOLUTION - Adopting the 2020-2024 Citywide Business Plan including City Goals, the Financial Strategic Plan, and the Balanced Scenario of the Five-Year Planning Model; and directing the City Manager to align departmental strategic plans and business plans to the Citywide Business Plan.
200885 Authorizing the Fire Chief to enter into a professional service contract with Morris & McDaniel, Inc., for the preparation of test performance based evaluation exercises used in the Fire Department’s hiring and promotional processes in an amount not to exceed $175,000.00 which will be paid according to the compensation schedule included in the contract with the expenditures previously appropriated.
200878 RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to identify, prioritize and implement effective development strategies to improve City’s community engagement and create the Office of Citizen Engagement; to dissolve Aim 4 Peace and retain all current service providers; and report back to the Council in 90 days.
200527 Authorizing the Director of Human Relations Department to execute a renewal of a Limited Term Contract (LTC) in the amount of $51,000.00 for a DBE Coordinator.
