171002 Approving and authorizing settlements of lawsuits entitled Donnell Woods v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 1516-CV25156.
171005 Authorizing the City Manager to execute an Airport Agreement with the United States Soccer Federation for use of Kansas City International Airport (“KCI”) facilities and ancillary services for the 2026 FIFA World Cup; stating the Council's intent to provide funding for certain City airport related services in connection with the 2026 FIFA World Cup; and directing the City Manager to include funding for required City services in the 2025-26 and 2026-27 annual budgets.
171010 Authorizing the Human Relations Director to accept a $29,000.00 grant from and contract with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for the purpose of investigating discrimination complaints in employment in the Neighborhoods Grants Fund; estimating and appropriating $29,000.00 in the 18 EEOC Grant account; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
171011 Authorizing amendments to the legal services agreements with Husch Blackwell LLP and Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP for the provision of legal services related to the proposed terminal modernization project; reappropriating $_____,000.00 from Aviation Account No. 8300-621000-610240 into Law Department Account No. 18-1000-131506; authorizing the City Attorney to expend this sum for this purpose; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date pursuant to Section 503(a)(3)(C) of the Charter.
171013 Appropriating $89,223.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund; approving contracts with various nonprofit organizations selected as part of the FY 2017-2018 4th quarter cycle in the amount of $89,223.00 for the purpose of promoting neighborhoods through cultural, social, ethnic, historic, educational, and recreational activities; authorizing the City Manager to execute contracts in the total amount of $89,223.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
171015 Appropriating $1,019.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund; approving the contract with a nonprofit organization in the amount of $1,019.00 for the event and project from the Neighborhood Tourist Development Fund; authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract in the total amount of $1,019.00; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

170919 Amending Chapter 68, Code of Ordinances, entitled “Taxation”, by enacting a new Section 68-450, to extend for 20 years the City’s current 1% sales tax used for capital improvements and to codify dedication of the available annual sales tax receipts with 35% for neighborhood conservation, maintenance and improvements divided equally among Council districts and 65% for capital improvements with at least 25% for street resurfacing, repair, and the construction of complete street facilities; reaffirming the role of the Public Improvements Advisory Committee; providing for submission of this ordinance to the qualified voters of the City for their approval at an election called for Tuesday, April 3, 2018; authorizing and directing the City Clerk to notify the responsible election authorities of this election; authorizing and directing the City Clerk to notify the Missouri Director of Revenue if the proposal is approved by the voters; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
170988 Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute a License Agreement with Spring Venture Group, LLC for use of the parking garages located at 1220 Wyandotte and 1020 Wyandotte.

171000 Accepting and approving a one-year $130,716.00 grant award agreement from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to provide funding for a comprehensive human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) surveillance program in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
171004 Accepting and approving a contract amendment with SAVE, Inc., in the amount of $254,852.00 to provide housing assistance services in the Kansas City area; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

171014 RESOLUTION - Recognizing the Blue Valley Redevelopment Opportunity Assessment as a guide for future redevelopment in an area generally bounded by the Missouri River on the north, Coal Mine Road on the south, Interstate Highway 435 on the east and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard, Hardesty Avenue and North Topping Avenue on the west.
171016 RESOLUTION - Approving the Longview Area Plan as a guide for the future development, redevelopment, and public investment within the area bound generally by I-470 to the north, Raytown Road and the City of Grandview to the west, the cities of Belton and Raymore to the south, and the City of Lee’s Summit to the east; and repealing and replacing the existing Longview Lake Land Use Plan, in the portion covered by the Longview Area Plan defined as above.
