At it's December 14, 2005 meeting, the TIF Commission unanimously voted to terminate the 10th & Troost TIF Plan and is now forwarding the motion to the City Council for consideration. Plan Description: The objective of the Plan was to provide for the construction of new office/warehouse facilities and the rehabilitation of existing buildings. The 10th & Troost TIF Plan hoped to accomplish the goals of the plan by encouraging the assemblage of sites for redevelopment within the plan area. The projects proposed to encourage vacating of existing public rights-of-way and make them a part of the redevelopment site. In addition, the projects goals included providing public facilities including: street improvements and relocations; utility improvements and relocations; off-street parking ; and public pedestrian area. The relocation of residents and businesses would be necessary to achieve the plan's objectives. Status: No project was ever activated within the plan.
