ORDINANCE NO. 011513

 

Authorizing the execution of an easement with the Kansas City Power and Light Company for the construction and maintenance of electrical facilities on City-owned property generally located at 4001 Blue Parkway.

 

WHEREAS, it has been determined that an easement is necessary to construct and maintain electrical facilities in the vicinity of 4001 Blue Parkway; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute an agreement granting an easement to the Kansas City Power and Light Company on City-owned property in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, generally located at 4001 Blue Parkway. Said easement is legally described as:

 

A strip of land 10 feet in width being a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 49, Range 33, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, lying 5 feet on each side of the following described centerline: Commencing at a point on the East Line of said Quarter, Quarter, that is 13.63 feet South of the South right of way line of Blue Parkway as now established, said point is hereby designated as Point A, thence North 75 degrees 17 minutes 09 seconds West, a distance of 25.78 feet, thence South 08 degrees 28 minutes 19 seconds West, a distance of 140.99 feet, also a strip of land 10 feet in width, being a part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 26, Township 49, Range 33 in said Jackson County, beginning at aforesaid Point A, thence South 79 degrees 42 minutes 02 seconds East, a distance of 62 feet, thence South 84 degrees 56 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 102 feet; thence South 89 degrees 11 minutes 14 seconds East, a distance of 100 feet, thence North 86 degrees 09 minutes 49 seconds East, a distance of 209.99 feet to the Point of Termination.
