COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 020972

 

Authorizing execution of a Sublease Agreement with MEP Investments, LLC, for the use of City-leased property located at Richards-Gebaur Air Base, for the purpose of temporary storage and maintenance of electrical power generation equipment.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to execute a Sublease Agreement with Mep Investments, LLC, for City-leased property generally located at Richards-Gebaur Air Base, Jackson County, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows:

 

Building #940 and Building #945 located at the former Richards-Gebaur Air Base including access points, concrete taxiways and ramps associated therewith.

 

A copy of the Sublease Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, for a term of one year, beginning September 1, 2002 and ending August 31, 2003, with a six month option to renew at a rental rate of $180,000.00 for the entire term payable in monthly installments of $15,000.00 each in advance.
