ORDINANCE NO. 090629

 

Accepting a U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Division of Energy in the amount of $9,109,303.00; estimating revenue in the amount of $9,109,303.00; appropriating funds in the amount of $9,109,303.00; renaming Fund 2530 to ARRA Stimulus Fund; and designating requisitioning authority.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That Fund 2530, the HUD Discretionary Grant Fund, is hereby renamed the ARRA Stimulus Fund in the financial records of the City.

Section 2. That the Acting Director of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to accept a grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for the purpose of providing weatherization services in the amount of $9,109,303.00.

Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the ARRA Stimulus Fund is estimated in the following amount:

10-2530-550001-479979 Federal Stimulus Grants $9,109,303.00

Section 4. That $9,109,303 is appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the ARRA Stimulus Fund (No.2530) to the following accounts of the ARRA Stimulus Fund (No. 2530):

10-2530-555210-A Home Weatherization St $ 902,711.00

10-2530-555210-B Home Weatherization St 8,106,592.00

10-2530-555210-C Home Weatherization St 50,500.00

10-2530-555210-E Home Weatherization St 49,500.00

TOTAL $9,109,303.00

Section 5. That the Acting Director of Housing and Community Development Department is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 10-2530-555210.
