ORDINANCE NO. 980021

 

Reducing the appropriation by the sum of $194,141.00 in the Debt Service-HUD account of the Community Development Fund-Year 22; appropriating said sum to the HDCIC-Administration account of said Fund; authorizing execution of a $194,141.00 contract with the Housing and Economic Development Financial Corporation for funds for a housing study, housing development and training in the Washington Wheatley Wendall Phillips area; and approving an amendment to the 1996 Consolidated Plan.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the Community Development Fund-Year 22 is hereby reduced by the following amount:

 

978-265-055-2401-B Debt Service-HUD $194,141.00

 

Section 2. That the sum of $194,141.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Community Development Fund-Year 22 to the following account in said Fund:

 

97-265-055-2140-B HDCIC-Administration $194,141.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute with the Housing and Economic Development Financial Corporation, in the amount of $194,141.00, in order to provide funds for a housing study, housing development and training in the Washington Wheatley Wendall Phillips area to be paid from funds herein appropriated to Account No. 97-265-055-2140-B, HDCIC Administration. A copy of said Contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

 

Section 4. That an amendment to the 1996 Consolidated Plan, increasing HDCIC-Administration by the amount of $194,141.00, is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
