Authorizing execution of a
$1,486,733.00 Cooperative Agreement with the Economic Development Corporation
of Kansas City, Missouri, the Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas
City, Missouri, the Port Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, and the Tax
Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City, Missouri, for the purpose of
providing funds for certain development and redevelopment services and
directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate
offices.
BE IT ORDAINED BY
THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to
execute a Cooperative Agreement, on behalf of the City, with the Economic
Development Corporation of Kansas City, Missouri, the Land Clearance for
Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, the Port Authority of Kansas
City, Missouri, and the Tax Increment Financing Commission of Kansas City,
Missouri, in the amount of $1,486,733.00, for the purpose of providing funds
for certain development and redevelopment services to be paid from funds
previously appropriated to Account Nos. 01-100-064-2000-B, Economic Development
Corporation ($1,186,733.00) and 01-261-064-2000-B, Economic Development
Corporation ($300,000.00). A copy of the Cooperative Agreement, in substantial
form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.
Section 2. That
the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of the Cooperative Agreement,
together with a copy of this ordinance, in the office of the Secretary of the
State of Missouri and in the Department of Records for Jackson County,
Missouri.

I hereby certify
that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the
appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash
balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund
from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby
incurred.
