ORDINANCE NO. 020795

 

Authorizing a $260,384.00 Amendment 1 with Hoefer Wysocki Architects for Contract No. 7700 Design of Water Services Headquarters Building Rehabilitation at 4800 East 63rd Street; and authorizing expenditure of funding therefor.

 

WHEREAS, the City Council approved an $843,289.00 contract with Hoefer Wysocki Architects for design of Water Services Headquarters Building Rehabilitation at 4800 East 63rd Street by passage of Ordinance No. 010837 in June, 2001; and

 

WHEREAS, the Water Services Department wishes to include construction phase and resident inspection engineering services in the scope of services for Contract 7700; NOW THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, a $260,384.00 Amendment 1 to Contract No. 7700 Water Services Headquarters Building Rehabilitation at 4800 East 63rd Street. A copy of the contract and amendment are on file in the offices of the Director of Water Services.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is further authorized to expend up to the sum of $260,384.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 03-875-080-7571-T, WSD Headquarters Building Rehabilitation, to satisfy the cost of this contract amendment.

 

Section 3. That upon completion of the final costs of this contract, the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to return the unexpended portion of this appropriation to the Unappropriated Fund Balance from which it was derived.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
