RESOLUTION NO. 931287

Honoring Emergency Providers, Incorporated on their service to the City during the emergency evacuation of City Hall.

WHEREAS, the members of the City Council learned of the efforts to evacuate City Hall and of the prompt response by the dedicated owner-supervisors and owner-employees of Emergency Providers, Incorporated; and

WHEREAS, the emergency caused all elevators to be shut down, and the EPI employees and members of Local I-34 of the International Fire Fighters were at City Hall within minutes of the first alarm, responding to the elderly and disabled workers and citizens who were in need of assistance on the many floors of City Hall; and

WHEREAS, the compassion and caring shown those in need by the employees of EPI were displayed as Emergency Providers, Incorporated provided this service to the City at no cost for their efforts, NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby salute the owner-employees of Emergency Providers, Incorporated for their caring and dedication to the job they perform to the citizens of Kansas City; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that copies be furnished to Emergency Providers, Incorporated in token of the appreciation of the Mayor and Council.
