RESOLUTION NO. 090967

 

Honoring Christopher E. Williams on his retirement after 25 years of service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, Christopher E. Williams began working for the City in 1979 as an Engineering Aid II, Survey Group, Public Works Department; and

 

WHEREAS, in 1983, Christopher moved to the Parks and Recreation Department as a temporary Train Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, by 1984, Christopher started working full time as an Engineering Aid II with the Water Services Department; and

 

WHEREAS, over the years he was promoted to a Construction Inspector with Codes Administration, a Building Plan Review Engineer with Codes Administration, a Plan Review Engineer with Public Works, and a Chief Engineer/Group Leader with Public Works; and

 

WHEREAS, Christopher’s final transfer was to the City Planning and Development Department, Development Services, Land Development Division where he worked until his retirement as a Senior Registered Engineer, Plan Review; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Christopher E. Williams, on the occasion of his retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for his future, together with appreciation for his 25 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

  BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Christopher E. Williams in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which he so richly deserves.
