ORDINANCE NO. 070366

 

Amending Article VIII of Chapter 2, Administration relating to the Classification and Compensation Plan, by repealing Section 2-1081, Code of Ordinances and adopting in lieu thereof a new section of like number setting the salaries for municipal court judges.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That Article VIII of Chapter 2, Administration, Code of Ordinances, which is also known as the Administrative Code, is hereby amended by repealing Section 2-1081, Salary schedule for elective positions in the city service and adopting in lieu thereof one new section of like number setting the salaries for municipal court judges to read as follows:

 

Sec. 2-1081. Salary schedule for municipal court judges.

 

(a) The following schedule for municipal court judges in the City service is hereby adopted as the standard annual salary schedule for the following positions in the city service as set out herein below:

 

Class Code Position Title Annual Salary

0005 Elective Judge of Municipal Court $133,842.00

0005 Elective Housing Court Judge of Municipal Court $ 40,152.00

 

(b) These annual salaries will be increased by two percent at the beginning of each new fiscal year.

 

(c) The annual salary of the part-time Housing Court Judge set out above is based upon a twelve (12) hour workweek. This annual salary may be enlarged from time to time to accommodate changes in workload volume as designated by Council pursuant to the formula provided in Section 2-1404, Code of Ordinances.
