ORDINANCE NO. 050378

 

Accepting and approving a one year $607,252.00 contract with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for a comprehensive HIV prevention and testing program; reestimating revenue in the amounts of $697,574.07 in the Governmental Grants Fund; reducing appropriations in the amount of $98,885.62 in the Governmental Grants Fund; and reestimating an appropriation in the amount of $122,644.76 in the Governmental Grants Fund.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, acting through its Director of Administration, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for a comprehensive HIV prevention and testing program for the period of January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005, in the amount of $607,252.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That the revenue in the following account of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 248 is hereby reduced in the following amount:

 

05-2480-500001-472290 04 Aids Counseling and Testing $406,409.00

 

Section 3. That the revenue in the following accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 248 is hereby reestimated by the following additional amount:

 

05-2480-500001-472300 04 Aids Counseling and Testing $247,845.07

05-2480-500001-472300 05 Aids Counseling and Testing 449,729.00

TOTAL $697,574.07

 

Section 4. That the appropriation in the following accounts of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 2480, are hereby reduced by the following amounts:

 

05-2480-502419-A AIDS Prevention Program $ 25,926.25

05-2480-502419-B AIDS Prevention Program 22,313.62

05-2480-505413-A AIDS Prevention Program 43,725.00

05-2480-505413-C AIDS Prevention Program 6,920.75

TOTAL $ 98,885.62

 

Section 5. That the sum of $122,644.76 is hereby reestimated from the fund balance of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 2480, to the following account:

 

05-2480-505413-B AIDS Prevention Program $122,644.76

 

Section 6. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $607,252.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account Nos. 05-2480-502419 and 05-2480-505413 for the aforesaid contract.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
