RESOLUTION NO. 070539

Honoring Marcella Womack and extending to her the appreciation, gratitude and respect for her work on behalf of Mayor Barnes and the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, Marcella Womack began her work for Mayor Barnes when the Mayor took office in April 1999; and

WHEREAS, after initially serving in the Mayors International Affairs office, Marcella became the Mayors liaison to the Kansas City Safe City Commission. Marcella currently serves as the Acting Director of KC Safe City, and recently produced a detailed report on public safety concerns and safety projects designed to make the City a better place for its residents; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council do hereby honor Marcella Womack and extend to her their appreciation, gratitude and respect for her work on behalf of Mayor Barnes and the City of Kansas City, Missouri; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy be presented to Marcella Womack with appropriate recognition and appreciation.
