ORDINANCE NO. 980865

 

Authorizing a ten month $200,000.00 contract with Childrens Mercy Hospital to provide childrens protection center services and authorizing the Director of Health to exercise an option to extend the contract for two months for a total funding not to exceed $240,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and Childrens Mercy Hospital, acting through its officer of executory authority, to provide childrens protection center services for the period of July 1, 1998 through April 30, 1999, for an amount not to exceed $200,000.00, from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 99-100-050-2150-B by Ordinance No. 970321, is hereby authorized. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

 

Section 2. That one month prior to the expiration of this contract and upon successful completion of the terms and conditions of the contract cited in Section 2, the Director of Health may exercise an option to extend the term of this contract for an additional two months utilizing such funds as may be allocated by the City Council for this purpose in its annual budget. The combined total funding for the contract and the amendment shall not exceed $240,000.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
