ORDINANCE NO. 001703

 

Amending Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances, by adding a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0336, rezoning an area of approximately 4 acres generally located approximately 500 feet southwest of N.E. Staley Road and one-half mile east of N. Woodland Avenue from District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District C-2 (Local Retail Business). (11660-P-6)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, 1996, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0336, rezoning an area of approximately 4 acres generally located approximately 500 feet southwest of N.E. Staley Road and one-half mile east of N. Woodland Avenue from District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District C-2 (Local Retail Business), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0336. That an area legally described as:

 

All that part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 25 and all the part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 36, all in Township 52, Range 33, Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, being described as follows: Commencing at the northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 36; thence North 8923'36" West, along the north line of said Northeast Quarter, 167.30 feet to the true point of beginning of the tract to be herein described; thence South 5718'14" East, 145.33 feet; thence South 1904'16" West, 202.68 feet; thence South 0332'07" East, 282.43 feet; thence southwesterly, along a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of South 6245'52" West, a radius of 280.00 feet, an arc distance of 15.20 feet; thence South 6005'35" West, 155.23 feet; thence northwesterly, along a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of North 2802'51" West, a radius of 1000.00 feet, an arc distance of 377.91 feet; thence North 4018'00" East, 67.02 feet; thence northerly, along a curve to the left, tangent to the last described course, having a radius of 300.00 feet, an arc distance of 239.39 feet; thence North 0525'10" West, 141.82 feet; thence North 8434'50" East, 88.00 feet; thence South 5718'14" East, 145.84 feet to the true point of beginning. Containing 4.13 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-1b (One-Family Dwellings) to District C-2 (Local Retail Business), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0336, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 


Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
