ORDINANCE NO. 960676
Accepting and approving an agreement with the Missouri
Department of Health, for the City to provide for a community outreach and
health education effort to address the minority population for up to one year
for up to $39,200.00; increasing the revenue account by $2,667.00; and
appropriating said sum to the Minority Health Outreach Fund; and authorizing
the Director of Health to amend the agreement.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That an agreement between Kansas City,
Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the
Missouri Department of Health, acting through its Director of Administration,
to provide a community outreach and health education effort to address the
minority population of the citizens of Kansas City for the period of July 1,
1996 through June 30, 1997 for which the State will provide funding in the
amount of $39,200.00, is hereby approved and accepted. A copy of the
agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by
reference.
Section 2. That the following revenue account is
hereby increased in the following amount:
97-100-050-7398 97 Minority Health
Outreach $2,667.00
Section 3. That the following appropriation
accounts of the General Fund is hereby increased in the following amounts:
97-100-050-2311-B Minority Health
Outreach $2,000.00 97-100-050-2311-C Minority Health
Outreach 667.00
TOTAL $2,667.00
Section 4. The Director of Health has the authority
to amend the agreement without Council approval. The dollar amount of the
amendment cannot exceed $20,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
