ORDINANCE NO. 960680

Authorizing an agreement with SAVE, Inc., to provide housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS, in an amount up to $181,500.00, for a period of up to one year and authorizing the Director of Health to amend the agreement.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an agreement between Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and SAVE, Inc., to provide housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS for up to $181,500.00 for a one year period beginning April 4, 1996 from funds previously appropriated under Ordinance No. 960472 in the 97 Ryan White Title I Supplemental Grant in Account No. 97-273-050-2447-B, is hereby approved and accepted. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. The Director of Health has the authority to amend the agreement without Council approval. The dollar amount of an amendment cannot exceed $20,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
