Authorizing two STP-Urban Agreements with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission relating to reconstruction of a signal system and geometric improvements at Independence Avenue and Paseo Boulevard and at Ward Parkway from Brookside boulevard to Shawnee Mission Parkway.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into and execute, an STP-Urban Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission relating to reconstruction of a signal system and geometric improvements at Independence Avenue and Paseo Boulevard with new mast mounted signals, controller, conduit, pull boxes, bases and other necessary appurtenances, Federal Project No. STP-3379(406), Project No. 4143. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized, on behalf of the City, to enter into and execute, an STP-Urban Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission relating to reconstruction of a signal system and geometric improvements at Ward Parkway from Brookside Boulevard to Shawnee Mission Parkway with new mast mounted signals, controller, conduit, pull boxes, bases and other necessary appurtenances, Federal Project No. STP-3350(403), Project No. 4168. The agreement shall be essentially in the form which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
