Authorizing contracts with Guadalupe Center ($40,666.00), Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries ($10,000.00), Salvation Army ($40,666.00) and United Services of Greater Kansas City ($40,666.00) for emergency financial assistance to the needy.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That contracts between the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services and the following agencies are hereby authorized and approved in respective amounts not to exceed those listed to provide emergency financial assistance to needy Kansas City residents from funds heretofore appropriated in the 1994-95 City Budget to Account No. 95-100-057-2010-B:

Guadalupe Center $ 40,666.00

Metropolitan Lutheran Ministries 10,000.00

Salvation Army, Kansas and 40,666.00

Western Missouri Division

United Services of Greater 40,666.00

Kansas City

$131,998.00

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
