ORDINANCE NO. 940618

Authorizing exercise of the City's option to renew for fiscal year 1994-95, Contract No. 930163 for asbestos removal and repair as needed at various City-owned facilities with All Temperature Insulation, Inc., and the expenditure of previously appropriated funds therefor not to exceed the amount of $90,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the work of providing asbestos removal and repair as needed at various City-owned facilities for the period May 1, 1994 through April 30, 1995, is hereby provided for and authorized.

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute Kansas City's option to extend Contract No. 930163 with All Temperature Insulation, Inc., for completing such asbestos removal and repairs.

Section 3. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum not to exceed $75,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 95-100-089-7720T as and for consideration in the aforesaid contract renewal and to expend the sum not to exceed $15,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 92-386-089-7013T as and for consideration for work which may be completed under this contract in connection with the Bartle Hall Expansion Project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
