ORDINANCE NO. 990794

Authorizing expenditure of $120,000.00 in additional funds for Contract No. 630, Phase II Private Sewer Line Repair at various locations; and authorizing expenditure of funding therefor.

WHEREAS, the Council passed Ordinance No. 980914 on August 6, 1998, approving Contract No. 630 in the amount of $161,495.00 with Wilson Plumbing Co. Inc. for Phase II of private sewer line repair at various locations; and

WHEREAS, there is an increase in the need for additional private sewer line repairs; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to expend the additional sum of $120,000.00 from funds previously appropriated to the following account for this additional private sewer line repair, to be included in Contract No. 630 by change order. A copy of the original contract and the change order are on file in the Water Services Department.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
